It’s funny, on our old website you could read: ‘This is a strong and handsome pony, of good character, whose life has paralleled that of his good friend Pocahontas. He was picked up in the countryside, in a joint rescue between Seprona Coin, El Refugio del Burrito and CYD Santa Maria Association. After several months in the shelter he was adopted and then lived happily and peacefully until he was recently returned for reasons not attributable to him. He is a fantastic pony that would be very happy with any child.’ A bit later, Cherokee was adopted again, and, as we predicted, he became the best friend of a boy that cried an entire ocean the day he had to say goodbye to his faithful playmate. In these lines, we want to thank his family for the care and attention they gave our pony until the last minute…if there had only been time, we would definitely have taken him to the best hospital for the operation. Rest in peace.
