And some people say Seprona (a Spanish nature protection agency) doesn’t do a thing! This poor animal almost burned in the fire that swept Alhaurín el Grande a few years ago and wandered, only a few months old and lost in the mountains, with nothing to eat and almost no water. An off-duty Seprona officer saw her and informed us. She proved impossible to catch, but her emaciated condition and dehydration endangered her life with each passing day. The agent of the law had to ‘run’ (literally) after her for six days until he managed to corner her in a place where we could catch her. Today she is happy in Germany with our beloved Tonja and Boris and shows no resemblance to the skin and bones she was when she arrived.
